This is just beautiful, Ed! I lost my dad four years ago, on the 10th of December, and hate to say it, but miss him more now than I did in 2018-2019... But in these passing years, I think I've come to value him even more, so I feel the loss more. That is both tough and very very good!
The bit here about poring over maps yet not needing them... oh my. Yes. Some humans know how to read and follow the heart, and we are blessed to have those people in our lives!
